✓ You worry people will leave if you disappoint them
✓ You keep repeating the same relationship patterns
✓ You crave close relationships but also fear being hurt
✓ You struggle to trust yourself or your decisions
✓ You wish you felt more confident and comfortable being yourself
✓ Conflict feels overwhelming, so you avoid it... or it escalates before you know how to respond
✓ You're navigating a breakup, infidelity, family conflict, or another significant relationship change
✓ You're adjusting to a new stage of life, career, parenthood, or identity
✓ You want to understand yourself better - not just learn how to cope

"What we don't need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human."

A Bit About Psychotherapy
First of all... What is it?
If you're looking for an official definition:
According to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (2022), “Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. Psychotherapy occurs when the Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and client enter into a psychotherapeutic relationship where both work together to bring about positive change in the client’s thinking, feeling, behaviour and social functioning.”
My take?
Psychotherapy (which you might also hear called counselling or therapy) is really a working partnership. It’s dedicated time and space where we can explore your concerns together, look at areas where you’d like to grow, recognize your strengths, and even develop new skills or habits. All of this can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself and the people around you. While I can’t promise exact outcomes, research shows that evidence-based therapy can really help spark positive change. I’m here to support you in that process.
